Don’t Let Your Skin Get Worse, Read About the Underlying Cause and How to Keep Your Skin Healthy & Safe

Those without eczema will never understand the toll it takes on our daily lives...

We shower differently, anxiously wash our hands, paste our skin with thick slimy moisturizers, strain to ignore the maddening and never-ending itch we’re forced to put up with day after day, and this life-changing condition leads us to the question we all want answered:

“Why hasn’t anyone found a solution yet?!”

I searched high and low, scoured medical journals, blogs, and grilled my dermatologist, the most common advice I found was:

“Get your mind off it! Just don’t think about how badly you want to itch your skin (easier said than done!), oh, and use a moisturizer.”

Call me stubborn, but I refused to accept that (and I’m glad I didn’t).

I didn’t want to throw money away on another greasy moisturizer, I didn’t want to take zombifying antihistamines, I didn’t want antibiotics that ruin the immune system, and most of all, I didn’t want more addictive topical steroids that gave me a few days of relief only to make my skin WORSE when I stopped using them…

We’re stuck with ineffective creams and lotions while the medical community sits on the sidelines, and here’s why:

“They’re addressing the problem once it’s too late!”

These products are just covering up the symptoms like a band-aid over a gun-shot wound, they aren’t addressing WHY the skin was dry or itchy in the first place!

Well, here’s the good news:

There is a addressable reason why the skin gets dry and itchy, and there is a formula with the potential to FINALLY help us eczema sufferers find the REAL relief we’ve been praying for, and I’m going to tell you exactly how it works step by step.

Let’s start at the beginning:

“What Causes Eczema?”

Straight from the National Eczema Society’s website:

“If you have eczema, your skin may not produce as much fats and oils as other people’s, and will be less able to retain water. The protective barrier is therefore not as good as it should be…

As irritants pass into the deeper layers of the skin, they trigger your immune system to swell the area with blood (like an allergic reaction), causing itchy inflammation.

...as irritants pass into the deeper layers of the skin, they trigger your immune system to swell the area with blood.”

What you just read is pretty much all we knew about eczema until very recently (makes sense why they keep giving us band-aid moisturizers then, doesn’t it?)

Here’s the important part most people don’t know:

“What’s the Protective Barrier Missing?”

The most common cause of eczema sufferers’ weakened skin barrier is a DNA mutation of a gene called filaggrin. Filaggrin acts like glue between the layers of your skin, holding it together and keeping the irritants out (Source from PubMed).

Red stars: irritants. Small brown dots on second layer of skin: filaggrin. Cracked/tilted plates: protective barrier

Since there isn’t a known way to replace Filaggrin, what you really need is something to do Filaggrin’s job and keep the skin secure...and we think we’ve finally found it.

“Then How Do You Help Seal the Skin’s Damaged Protective Barrier?”

We’ve broken down eczema treatment into three goals essential to beating dry, itchy skin:

First: Keep the skin moisturized so it can heal.

Second: Neutralize bacteria, irritants, and inflammation.

Third: Rebuild a strongest protective barrier possible

With a quarter-million in funding, we took our research to dermatologists working in the skincare industry to source and combine over 30 powerful, effective, and tested ingredients into our break-through formula: Deep Therapy Cream™.

Deep Therapy Cream™ works in a five-step process:

Step 1: Colloidal Oatmeal - Attacking eczema From Every Angle

Colloidal Oatmeal is one of the few FDA approved eczema treatments, and it’s been known to treat various skin conditions dating back to about 2000 BC. Oats have a high concentration of beta-glucan creating a water-holding barrier to protect damaged skin, and this simultaneously reduces skin inflammation, provides a powerful anti-itch effect, moisturizes and softens the skin with antioxidants, and even triggers immune cells to kick-start the healing process!

Colloidal Oatmeal’s incredible ability to nourish and defend the skin from every angle makes it a critical foundation that no eczema cream should be without, but when most creams will stop here, we set out to amplify our formula with so much more:

Step 2: Three of the most Potent Oils Banish Dryness and Pour Moisture into the Skin

Without moisture, the skin’s nutrients are like ping-pong balls sitting in an empty bathtub; they can’t move to where they need to go. These oils turn on the faucet so they can travel to where they’re needed.

We’ve packed the formula with the most hydrating oils available (that do NOT clog pores or make the skin sticky):

Jojoba Seed, Sunflower Oil, and Sweet Almond Oil

Eczema strips the essential fatty acids that keep the skin hydrated, and the oils we chose are jam-packed with nutrients, fatty acids, and antioxidants to help the skin stay full of moisture as long as possible...

Step 3: Anti-Viral, Anti-inflammatory, Antibacterial, Antifungal & Anti-itch

Skin damaged by Eczema is much, much more susceptible to irritants that can slip right into the skin and make Eczema worse! That’s why we packed our formula with four nutrient dense extracts that keep the skin clean, nourished, and protected against all the irritants you’ll come across throughout the day:

Chamomile - Grapefruit Seed - Cucumber Fruit - Coneflower

These extracts are packed with vitamin C, potassium, magnesium, amino acids, proteins, lipids, and everything the skin needs to clear away any pesky irritants, reduce that redness and inflammation, and boost your skin’s healing potential so it can be healthier and stronger than ever before.

Step 4: Licorice Extract Stops the Itch in its Tracks

Licorice is one of the best documented natural remedies for eczema that has all the benefits of topical steroids WITHOUT the nasty withdrawal and side-effects. It mimics the steroid hormone cortisol and regulates and reduces inflammation and itchiness.

In a clinical trial, participants noticed up to a 61% reduction of erythema (redness), 84% reduction in edema (swelling), and 73% reduction of itchiness. (Source from PubMed)

Step 5: Seal the Skin and Lock In Moisture with Soothing Beeswax

This last step is the most critical, and it’s one that so many eczema creams miss:

After the formula pours moisture into the deepest layers of the skin and kick-starts the healing process, it’s critical that we trap the moisture in the skin so it can’t evaporate. If you’ve ever seen beads of water slide off of a freshly waxed car, you know exactly how this works. Beeswax is a natural humectant, meaning it draws in moisture by creating a thin, soft protective layer that doesn’t make the skin sticky and helps rehydrate it with Vitamin A.

To put it all together:

Deep Therapy Cream EC combines some of the most scientifically supported eczema relieving and skin-health boosting ingredients into a gentle formula that helps your skin fight eczema from every angle. Better yet:

  • It won’t cause a burning sensation
  • It won’t leave you addicted
  • It won’t require a prescription

It’ll only stop the itch and bring your skin back to life...

The Types of Eczema:

Eczema, or dermatitis, is a general description of different types of skin conditions. (“Dermatitis” means “skin inflammation.”)

Atopic Eczema

Atopic eczema, or atopic dermatitis (AD), is the most common type of eczema. It mainly affects children, but can also be present in adults. About 90 percent of people with AD develop the problem before age 5.

The frequency and severity of AD symptoms will vary depending on the individual and each specific outbreak. Some people with AD will have mild signs and symptoms that only affect a small area of the skin. But at other times, the symptoms, most notably itch, can be severe.

If you or your child has atopic eczema, the signs and symptoms may be worse during a flare-up and can include:

  • Itchy, red, dry, scaly patches of skin
  • Wet, weeping and swollen spots
  • Bacterial Infection

Contact Dermatitis

This condition occurs when you come in contact with a particular substance that irritates the skin. There are two types: irritant contact dermatitis and allergic contact dermatitis.

Irritant contact dermatitis is caused by substances that damage the skin. It may be caused by frequent contact over a long period of time with a weak substance, such as soap or detergent. It may also be caused by brief contact with a harsh substance, such as chemicals, acids and solvents.

Allergic contact dermatitis is due to allergic reaction to things we are exposed to in the environment. Some common allergens are metals found in jewellery, cosmetics, preservatice, rubber, textiles, adhesives, oily coatings of plants and topical medicines. The first sign of allergic contact dermatitis is usually the presence of a rash or skin lesion at the site of exposure.

Seborrheic Eczema

The first signs of this skin condition typically are oily, waxy patches on the scalp, which can then spread to the face and other parts of the body. Seborrheic eczema at times can look like dandruff.

Seborrheic eczema signs and symptoms include:

  • Oily, waxy patches of skin
  • Flaking skin, usually ranging in colour from white to yellowish brown
  • Slightly red, swollen patches of skin, usually on the scalp and hairline

Nummular Eczema

Nummular eczema typically occurs after the skin is injured by burns, scratches or insect bites. Its symptoms are round, small and itchy lesions. Nummular eczema, which is also called discoid eczema, is more common in men than women.

Varicose Eczema

This type of eczema occurs on the legs when swelling of the legs due to increased pressure on varicose veins. Common signs and symptoms include red, scaly and itchy skin on the legs and ankles.

Dyshidrotic Eczema

Dyshidrotic eczema occurs when small, fluid-filled blisters appear along the edges of fingers, palms, toes and the soles of feet. These blisters, called vesicles, cause intense itching and scaly, flaky patches of skin.

Adults usually get dyshidrotic or vesicular eczema when they are between 20 and 40, though it can occur at any age. It is more common in women than in men.

People are more likely to develop dyshidrotic eczema when:

  • They are under stress
  • They have allergies, such as hayfever
  • Their hands are often in water or moist atmospheres
  • They do cement work or other work that exposes their hands to chromium, cobalt, nickel

The cause of dyshidrotic eczema is unknown, but the condition seems to appear during certain times of the year.

Lichen Simplex Chronicus

This is a condition caused by constant scratching of the skin. Recurrent irritation from scratching causes the skin to thicken. Lesions are often located on the ankle, wrist, neck, backs of knees and inner elbows.
